Mobile apps that earn their place on the home screen

Pakistan crossed 120 million smartphone users last year. Most of your customers — whether in Quetta, Karachi, Lahore, or any other Pakistani city — spend more time on their phones than on desktops. A mobile app is not a luxury for many businesses anymore; it is the primary touchpoint with customers.

CodeForge PK builds mobile apps for Pakistani businesses. We deliver on Android (the dominant platform in Pakistan), iOS (where Pakistani professionals and diaspora users live), or both simultaneously through cross-platform frameworks. Our flagship app project — the customer side of Grocery Express Quetta — is in production with daily active users across Quetta.

1. Types of mobile apps we build

E-commerce and shopping apps

Product browsing, cart, checkout, payment integration (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Stripe), order tracking, push notifications. For retail brands, restaurants, grocery stores, and marketplaces.

On-demand service apps

Booking, scheduling, real-time tracking, payment, ratings. For delivery services, ride-hailing, home services, beauty appointments, healthcare consultations.

Business productivity apps

Internal employee apps, field-force management, inventory checking, attendance tracking, expense reporting, sales force automation.

Education and learning apps

Video lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, parent-teacher communication, fee management. Suitable for academies, schools, and edtech startups.

Healthcare apps

Appointment booking, telemedicine, prescription delivery, lab result delivery, medication reminders. We have built this category for Civil Hospital Quetta.

Fintech and payment apps

Wallet apps, bill payment apps, micro-lending interfaces, budgeting apps. Compliance-aware (SBP guidelines).

2. Native vs cross-platform — what is right for you

Cross-platform (React Native or Flutter): One codebase runs on both Android and iOS. Faster to build (50-60% time savings), easier to maintain, fully sufficient for the majority of business apps. Our default recommendation.

Native (Swift / Kotlin): Separate codebases for iOS and Android. More expensive, slower, but unbeatable for performance-critical apps — games, video editing, AR/VR, hardware-heavy apps.

For 80% of Pakistani businesses, cross-platform is the right choice. We use React Native when the project needs to share logic with a web app. We use Flutter when the project needs polished UI animations and a single beautiful experience across platforms. We use native only when there is a concrete technical reason — never just because.

4. Our mobile app development process

  1. Idea validation call. Before we quote, we want to understand if your app idea will actually work for your business. Sometimes the answer is "build a web app first." We will tell you if that is the case.
  2. Wireframes & user flow. Sketched screens of every important user journey. You approve before we touch code.
  3. UI design. High-fidelity designs in Figma. You see exactly how your app will look on real iPhone and Android screens.
  4. Development sprints. 2-week sprints. Working app shared on every sprint demo via TestFlight (iOS) and APK (Android).
  5. Beta testing. You and 5-10 of your users get the app first. Bugs caught. Feedback gathered.
  6. Store submission. We handle Play Store and App Store submissions, listings, screenshots, descriptions. Apple typically reviews in 1-3 days; Google in hours.
  7. Post-launch support. 90 days of bug fixes and adjustments. Updates pushed to stores at no charge for crash fixes.

5. What every mobile app project includes

  • Backend API and database — your app needs a server; we build it
  • Admin web dashboard — you need to manage users, content, orders; we build it
  • Push notifications — Firebase Cloud Messaging configured and ready
  • Analytics — Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel set up to track user behaviour
  • Crash reporting — Firebase Crashlytics so you know when something breaks
  • App Store optimisation — keyword research for your category, screenshot design, description copywriting
  • Source code & documentation — full handover at project close

Mobile app development FAQ

How long does it take to build a mobile app in Quetta?

A simple MVP app takes 8-10 weeks. A typical business app takes 12-16 weeks. Complex apps with multiple user roles, payments, and real-time features take 4-6 months. We provide a detailed week-by-week timeline in our proposal.

Will my app work on older Android phones?

Yes. We test on Android 7.0+ (Nougat and above) which covers 95%+ of active Pakistani Android devices. For older device support, we can adjust at the cost of some modern features. iOS support goes back two major versions (currently iOS 15+).

Do I need an Apple Developer account?

Yes, for App Store distribution. Apple charges $99 per year. For Google Play, the cost is a $25 one-time fee. We help you set up both accounts and handle the technical submission process. The accounts must be in your business name, not ours, so you retain control.

How do you handle payments inside the app?

For digital goods sold inside the app: Apple and Google require their respective payment systems (30% commission). For physical goods or services: we integrate JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Stripe, or bank transfer — no commission to Apple/Google. We help you structure your offering to minimise commission costs.

Can my app work offline?

Yes. We build offline-first apps when needed — common for field-service apps, POS systems, and apps used in low-connectivity areas. Data syncs when the connection is restored. This adds complexity, so it is priced in if required.

What if my app is rejected by Apple or Google?

Rejections happen, especially on the first Apple submission. We handle the back-and-forth with Apple, make required adjustments, and resubmit. This is included in our project price up to two resubmissions; beyond that, hourly rates apply.
